1. Preparation
Clean the Surface: Thoroughly clean the surface to be repaired. Remove any oil, dirt, rust or other contaminants. Make sure the surface is dry and clean.
Roughen the Surface: If necessary, lightly sand the surface to be filled to make it rough. This will allow the putty to adhere better to the surface.
Wear Protective Equipment: When using polyester putty, it is recommended to wear gloves, a mask and eye protection, as the chemical components can be harmful to some people.
2. Mixing
Mix the Putty and Hardener: Most formulas of polyester putty contain a putty and a hardener (solidifier) component. According to the instructions, you need to mix the two in a certain ratio (usually 1-2 grams of hardener per 100 grams of putty).
Mix Quickly: Mix the mixture thoroughly, obtaining a homogeneous consistency. The mixing process usually takes a few minutes. Once the mixing is complete, start using it immediately because the mixture will harden quickly.
3. Application
Apply Putty to the Surface: Apply the mixed polyester putty to the surface to be repaired with a spatula or similar tool. Apply light pressure, completely filling the surface and giving it the desired shape.
Smooth and Smooth Application: Try to spread the putty evenly. Be careful not to leave too much putty on the surface. Ideally, no excess material should be left before sanding the surface.
4. Drying

6. Finishing Touches
Painting and Correcting: If you are going to paint over the surface you have applied polyester putty on, clean the surface again after sanding and apply a final coat of the appropriate paint.

Tips:
Temperature and Humidity: High temperatures and low humidity will cause the putty to dry quickly. However, if you are working in very hot environments, be aware that the mixture will harden more quickly.
